I’ve known for a long time that I want to make money writing. The only problem is, I haven’t been willing to put myself out there and actually try to do it. Until LTM, that is.
I don’t know if I am starting at square one, but I am definitely not a master. I studied writing in college and almost got a BA in English writing. However, my spelling and fat fingers often deprive me of the clarity that some might expect from an English Major.
Alas, I did not graduate with a BA but a BS. I traveled down this path and got to here, and I am okay with that. Really, I am. But since I incorporated writing into LTM, I have been getting sucked into it again. The first LTM 2K hurt my psyche, but since I abandoned trying to do voices and such, I have felt a lot better about my stories. I am usually writing them weeks before I get to producing the LTM 2K, and they sit idle in a backlog. That’s good for LTM 2K, but not so much for the photography and the 3D rendering.
I do enjoy photography and 3D art. I want to do more of them. I just need to find a happy medium where I can fall into my writing rabbit hole and still work on other things.
So, in that vein, I spent some time today working on a 3D character. I’m going to keep plugging away at him until I finish this short I am thinking about. I promise, I am doing 3D work. It’s just taking longer than expected.
And as soon as the smoke clears, I will get out with my camera. I still have ideas for series of photos I want to take. I just need the weather to cooperate.
Until those things happen, the LTM landscape will look very 2K heavy, and that’s OK with me.
